Who's Your Baghdaddy?

I would like to apologize for going 3 weeks without a single post, but let's just say that those of us over in Hunter wish we were in Brawler troop... Apparently I am living on some other planet from Dan and Aaron because I am just now learning of a bowling alley and swimming pool on Liberty!? When you guys read this you need to swing by CHU 14-122A so we can plan an afternoon filled with bowling, swimming, and lots of O'douls.

Grammatical Errors aside, I think Aaron might be onto something with his Jersey Shore reference. Let's talk tan lines. For those of you who don't know, the Army is big on PPE. That's Personal Protective Equipment for all you noobs out there. We are almost entirely covered from head to toe in PPE. Starting from the bottom up you will first notice a pair of brown boots. Our pants and jacket (called trousers and a blouse) are flame retardent and even though it gets hotter than hell over here during the summer we still wear gloves because they are also flame retardent. The body armor has a throat protector and on your head is a helmet. Other nicknames for the helmet include: ACH, Kevlar, k-pot, and my least favorite is brain bucket. The only thing on your actual face is ballistic eyewear (called eyepro) and the chinstrap that secures your helmet to your head. So, if you've been following along at home you should realize that the only exposed skin on your entire body starts at your chin and extends slightly above your nose. I'm already starting to see the negative effects of this. At first you will start to notice that your forehead appears slightly paler than the rest of your face (that's from the helmet). The next thing you notice is that the transition from smooth complexion to awkward discoloration begins to make its way further down your face to your nose (that's from the ballistic eywear). Lastly, you will begin to see blotches of tan surrounded by straight white lines around the chin and cheekbones (that's from the chinstrap).

The bottom line is that it might be harder to pick up girls on R&R than we thought...
